Military Students
Reeves Elementary Student Led Transition Program
Goal- Assist new military students in becoming familiar with the layout and systems of the school. Assist new students in feeling welcomed and comfortable in their new surroundings.
Our student ambassadors will be able to meet with any new students and will show them around for the first 5-7 days of school. They will then meet up with other new students and ambassadors at the monthly gathering. Student ambassadors have a specific agenda of areas to show the new student around.

Reeves Elementary Transition and Academic Planning
In order to assist students in transitioning to a new school district, as well as helping students during times of parental deployment, Long Beach School District works with Military Family Life Counselors.

Upon competing online registration, the following forms will need to be provided to your child's new school:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Mississippi Immunization Form 121
- Two (2) Proofs of Residency
- Base Housing Documentation

EFMP is a program designed to assist active duty families who have children with disabilities. The goal of EFMP is to ensure that children of service members who have disabilities continue to receive the additional appropriate services they may require.

Fleet and Family Support Program- Offers workshops, services, classes, crisis and short-term counseling, assistance with all phases of the deployment cycle and can provide information to command representatives, liaisons, and Ombudsmen. They have trained personnel to assist with sexual assault, suicide prevention and intervention, as well as child and domestic abuse.
